Tassie riesling is going down a storm at the moment - in fact anything out of Tassie is going down a storm! This is a cracking little number that comes across as off-dry in style, with lots of limes, lemons, jasmine florals and flintiness on the nose, which translates really well to the lighter-bodied, subtly sweet palate. It's all wrapped up in frisky acidity, a milky mouthfeel, and a lemon sorbet-like finish that will have you smacking your lips. Lovely stuff!

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: A brilliant light greenish lime.

Nose: Lifted aromas of fresh sweet citrus characters.

Palate: The palate shows hints of freshly squeezed lime. Plenty of good structure leading to a subtle, dry and crisp finish. Medium length with a nice acid backbone. Well balanced and drinking superbly.

Kate Hill is increasingly a star riesling maker from Tasmania and has found great form with here 2013 release - this is a fine, gently sweet riesling with a belt of Thai spice coupled to spritely, energetic acidity. The overall feel is delicacy, purity and laciness. Really good to see.

A nod in the direction of 'Germanic styles' with a kiss of residual sweetness, wet stone and slate aromas, floral stuff going on and a cool, slimline feel. There's a touch of creamy texture for interest too. Very Good.

Some hints of marmalade and apricot here, sweetly fragrant and lively, quite like an Alsace style; there s spiced baked apple too. The palate s crisp and tangy with chalky, fresh pear-like flavours, neat texture and great balance through the finish.
