“I believe the essence of New Zealand wine is the absolute pristine fruit characters derived from our superb climate and dramatic geography.”
This Pinot Gris is grown and made in Hawke’s Bay and reflects ripe pear and guava fruits balanced with refreshing acidity and wonderful fruit sweetness. Elegant and harmonious.
The season started with cool spring temperatures, which led to reduced fruit set. The combination of this reduced yield, free draining soils and good canopy management, led to excellent fruit quality and condition.
Cool fermentation resulted in a subtle, elegant, and aromatic wine,.Well structured with a drying finish, this wine will be further enhanced by bottle maturation.Guava, pear and other tropical fruits coupled with a soft mouthfeel.
