A concentrated and fully worked style that has toasty oak, beeswax, butterscotch and plenty of concentrated, ripe stone fruits here. The palate is nicely built with a creamy edge and ripe and rich fruit presence, long and sturdy, slightly old-school wine.

This limited-release chardonnay is a new development for the Kelvedon project, made by Julian Alcorso. It has classic savoury complexity on the nose, with savoury biscuits and light spice, across ripe melon and peach fruits. The palate reflects this particular terroir, with impressive ripeness and weight cut by bright acidity and a precise, linear shape. Some hints of citrus here, long nougat and peach finish.

This slightly left-field style has aromas of mineral, wax, lemon and a malty, honey oxidative note. It shows some forward development but also some taut raciness on the palate. It has good length and plenty of character.
