James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the bouquet is complex, with barrel-ferment oak obvious but within bounds; overall, a nice mix of cashew, melon and fig. The palate is relatively restrained and delicate, and nicely balanced. The fruit seems to have been toned down by malolactic fermentation and (possibly) by oxidative juice handling.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Medium green-yellow; a very interesting, intense, complex bouquet with strong Burgundian overtones is followed by a long, intense palate with some grapefruit, good oak and a long, positive finish.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the bouquet is clean, smooth, and of medium intensity, with gentle fruit and well-balanced and integrated oak. A quite elegant palate, well weighted and structured, needing just a touch more fruit concentration for higher points.
