Kilikanoon Killerman's Run Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Shiraz and Grenache are natural partners - the Shiraz giving powerful sweet fruits while the Grenache can add a it of herb and spice. This is made to drink now with its supple red fruit flavours, silky tannins coupled with a generous palate.

Winemaker's Notes

The Killerman’s Run Rhone styled blend has been given a new lease on life, starting with its new Clare Valley appellation with the introduction of ten percent Mataro into the mix. Now a bonefide GSM blend, it combines the savoury, meaty notes of Mataro, the perfumed cherry and dark chocolate flavours from the Grenache and the robust backbone and riper plum characters of the Shiraz in a truly textural and beguiling regional wine.

Appearance: Brick red in colour with crimson hues.

Nose: The perfect package, spicy notes, dark cherries, cloves and a hint of older French oak come together seductively on the nose

Palate: A classic Rhone styled palate, one that brings together all the complementary nuances and flavours of the three noble varieties in a refined and long palate experience.

Cellaring: Ten to 12 years.
