James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
A neatly balanced offering of blackberry, cherry, mint and chocolate; soft tannins, nice oak.

Meaty, concentrated shiraz whose minty, menthol like expression of pruney, plummy and currant like fruit is reliant for sweetness and depth on its rather assertive chocolate/mocha oak. Australian Wine Companion 2003 2002
James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says

Australian Wine Companion 2001 2001
James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Dense red-purple; the powerful and concentrated bouquet and palate are packed with dark berry/blackberry fruit with an ever so faintly spicy finish. The tannins are beautifully modulated, and the oak appropriately subtle.
Australian Wine Companion 2000 1999
James Halliday (1994 Vintage) says
Dense purple-red; a voluptuously ripe and concentrated bouquet which avoids being jammy or porty, exhibiting a range of aromas through dark berry to liquorice to a hint of boot polish. A richly upholstered wine on the palate with liquorice and blackberry fruit supported by lingering but soft tannins; subtle oak influence throughout.
