Knee Deep Limited Release Kelsea's Cabernet Sauvignon

Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
Plenty of ripe cabernet fruit in this excellent wine. The nose is a mix of dusty cedary oak and black olive black currant fruit. The palate is still quite tight with the oak holding sway over the ripe concentrated fruit characters. The sweet lush middle palate finishes dry and edgy.

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
At the time of tasting which as six months before release the level of oak was slightly dominant. But beneath that the fruit concentration and silky smooth texture were clearly evident. This is an impressive cabernet which has been spared nothing in the making. It was a very good vintage and the winemaking has expertly captured the fruit with a balance of oak and tannin providing an excellent structure.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Elegant, sweet cabernet with a touch of tomato leaf on the nose and a well-defined flavour profile.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Good hue; a full-bodied wine that needs much time; it shares many things with the '09 varietal, adding more intensity and a greater tannin structure to the cassis and blackcurrant fruit.

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
That ;leafy regional character is string evident on the nose in this reserve Cabernet. It will gradually subside with ageing. Focused and slightly angular leafy minerally Cabernet with a firm structure and beautifully expressive palate. This is most promising.
