James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; a rich and fleshy Cabernet with none of the dry tannins of the '11 Cabernet Merlot; here blackcurrant/cassis fruit is enveloped in cedary French oak adding to the weight and texture of the wine.

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
In keeping with this vintage this is a controlled and leaner style of cabernet but still with heaps of deep fruit flavours. The tannins have a fine edge to them and the oak is well managed. Like the mix of spices and savoury characters with the intensity of the black currant and black olive characters. Long focussed palate.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
A cassis fruit bouquet, with black olive, violet and a hint of thyme; the palate is very dry and firm, bordering on austere, but the positive presence of so much fruit will see this wine evolve gracefully with time.
