James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Has retained excellent crimson-purple hue; fully deserves its two gold (one at Limestone Coast Wine Show'11) and silver medels. The oak contribution is obvious but by no means excessive, adding to the mouthfeel and without impinging on the blackberry and plum fruit; finishs with soft tannins, sensational value. 13.5% alc.

Powerful nose - smells of creme caramel. Strong palate, fresh and flavoursome, with lovely chocolaty characters.

Some development in colour; a supple and round mix of red and black fruit flavours, the oak and tannins in restraint.

Intense colour and lovely butterscotch and vanilla aromas lead to a warm, grippy palate filled with stewed rhubarb flavours and finishing quite buttery.
