Named after the peak overlooking the town of Kaikoura, the 1998 vintage of this Marlborough wine was barrel-fermented and lees-aged, and 60 per cent went through malolactic fermentation. It's a pale, soft and weighty wine with smooth, appley, cheesy flavours in an easy-drinking, forward style.
