Label 88 McLaren Vale Shiraz

Cracka Review

McLaren Vale enjoys an unrivalled reputation in Australia and indeed the world, for Shiraz grapes with fully developed characters, translating into wines of excellent fruit and fine length. With winter dominant rainfall, warm, dry summers, McLaren Vale is endowed with one of the most consistent climes for winemaking, especially this outstanding Shiraz.

Founder of Label 88 wines, the late Charlie Caccamo, Believe “Wine is a culture, the varieties are endless and our quality is priceless. Our family motto is to over deliver on price, quality, and customer service.”

Tasting Notes - Bright scarlet colour with bouquets of plum and pepper, ground complex spice and red licorice, savory sausage and leather characters, coffee and coccoa oak. A well integrated palate of raspberry, plum and chocolate coated fruit, firm but yielding tannins and supportive oak. Finishes clean and refreshing to plum and currant characters, peppered by sweet, gentle spice.

Flavour NotesThis remarkable Shiraz is known to be sweet, soft, juicy and fruit driven. It is a delicious combination of the rich, ripe, juicy, spicy, flavoursome and elegant expressions of McLaren Vale.

Food PairingPeppered Red Meats, Sausage, Stews, Barbeques.
