Lafazanis Roditis

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Roditis has nothing to do with rodents (thankfully!) but it does have a lot to do with elegant, highly slurpable white wine. It's an interesting variety as the grapes are actually rose-coloured, and it shows aromas of vibrant citrus, apples and stone fruits on the nose. The palate is more medium-bodied and quite lush, with peachy and lemon flavours, flinty acidity, and a smooth, crisp finish. Excellent with dolmades (stuffed vine leaves), and awesome value.

Winemaker's Notes

Alcohol: 12%. Wine Type: Dry White. Wine Category: PGI Peloponnese. Grape Variety: Roditis 100%. Region: Nemea, Korinthia & Aigialia. Vinificatiom: After "braking" of grapes the free run juice ferments between 15-16 °C. Barrel Use: No barrel use.

Characteristics: Pale yellow colour with green hints. Aromas of citrus and lemon blossom. Fresh and elegant aftertaste.

Serving suggestion: At 10-12?C. The refreshing acidity is combined perfectly with seafood and light dishes of Greek cuisine.
