It’s one of the most famous winery names in Langhorne Creek whom consistently produce the region's finest reds. Expect a regional hit of mint and blackcurrant underpinned by charry oak and a well-integrated palate of fruit, tannin and acids. It would enhance a leg of lamb, stuffed with rosemary and garlic. Or, if you're the patient type, it will continue to improve in the bottle.

From 45yo vines. The good depth to the colour signals a wine with all the deliciously soft and fleshy mid-palate fruit Langhorne Creek can provide, yet leaving it with fine, savoury tannins to highlight its varietal character.

Old vines here again - forty years in the fertile alluvial dirt of Langhorne Creek is quite a life! This dishes up aromas of ripe boy-senberry, blueberry, red fruits, mint and fresh-swept leaves, along with some earthy touches and a serve of sweet-spiced oak - it all works well. The palate's supple, bright and tangy, more medium to full-bodied. It delivers a wealth of ripe plum, blueberry and cassis fruit, really saturated in flavour; ripe tannins float through the finish.

The 2005 was an award winner in last year's Big Red Wine Book, and this is in the same quality territory. Spot-on. It tastes of blackcurrant, chocolate, briar-bushes and pencils, though the main impression is of a rich, creamy-smooth red that satisfies all the way to the bottom of the bottle. It has the balance to cellar well over the medium term, but it's ready to rip this winter.

This is a beautiful wine, as good as many at significantly higher prices. 2005 RELEASE Right, get in the car and go out and buy yourself some of this. It's beautiful. Full-bodied, syrupy smooth, flush with blackcurrant, pencils and chocolate-like flavour and lip-smackingly intense. I don't mean to sound gushy - but this is a royal flush. DRINK 2008-2015.

Delivers a whopping hit of pure, delicious, dark fruit flavour - it tastes of blackcurrant, mint and cedar, and comes complete with a grainy, savoury, enmeshed set of sophisticated tannins. I like this wine more than its big S35 Winemaker's Selection brother. DRINK 2008-2014.
