Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
This wine has made big quality advances in recent years. The 2001 vintage grown on the Canterbury Plains, is a medium style (15 grams per litre of sugar), finely scented and zingy, with lovely freshness, harmony and depth.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
Estate-grown at West Melton, near Christchurch, the 1996 and 1997 vintages were light, crisp and medium-dry, with reasonable depth of appley, limey flavour. The 1998 is a big step up. Light lemon/green, with a fresh-scented, honied, limey bouquet, it's a zesty, delicate wine with gently botryrised flavours and a slightly sweet, appetisingly crisp finish.
