Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; fully ripe blackcurrant fruit on the bouquet is the driving force on the medium to full-bodied palate, which has good line and continuity, closing with ripe tannins. Well priced.

Jeremy Oliver (2001 Vintage) says
Fragrant, but herbal, even unusually tropical and gooseberry-like aromas with a greenish, sappy and cedary palate of vibrant cassis, plum and cherry flavours framed by soft tannins with a surprisingly firm grip.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; strong blackberry/blackcurrant fruit with some vanilla oak provides an attractive bouquet. The palate has plenty of depth and richness to the chunky fruit, and the oak is in balance. Should develop well.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; there is a lot happening on the bouquet, with ripe blackcurrant and earth aromas. The palate is likewise ripe, with masses of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit on the entry, and big earthy tannins then taking over.
