Lark Hill Biodynamic Riesling

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Now biodynamic since 2003, Lark Hill are extremely astute grape growers who continue to produce fine wines seemingly despite what ever nature can throw up. This Riesling is one of the stars of the Lark Hil show, a minerally, fine and long Riesling of texture and finesse. A sexy wine in anyone's language.

Winemaker's Notes

The slow and late ripening of the cool 2012 vintage has produced an intense and aromatic Riesling with vibrant lime, green apple and mineral notes underscored by zesty acidity.  Our delicious dry Rieslings evolve beautifully over the years, retaining freshness and fragrance.

Match with prawns, scallops and dishes with fresh spices to balance and refresh the palate.

Lark Hill Biodynamic Riesling

Expert Reviews

Tyson Stelzer (2011 Vintage) says
With all the perfume, intensity and knife-edged structure of the 860m Canberra vineyard in the heavens, fleshed out with notes of ripe pear, baked apple and cloves. It demands years to mellow.

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
Lark Hill's riesling is a fragrant, restrained and mineral-flecked wine, with plenty of spice and perfume, sweet white florals, some fresh-cut lime citrus and apple blossom. The palate's super-dry: really crisp and tangy lime and green apple flavours run in elegant shape. Great drive and balance here.
