Rob Geddes MW (2010 Vintage) says
Funky and savoury with wild ferment and lick of new oak. Fruit intensity is in the savoury modern edge with pear edges. The taunt palate is long and tangy in fruit and acidity with good creamy sructure before a firm finish. Austere lean edge in youth and will become generous silky and honeyed with deep flavours in time.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Elegant, fresh, citrus and stone fruit aromas and flavours; excellent mouthfeel and balance; clever use of barrel ferment and partial malolactic ferment.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow-green; a smooth, sophisticated bouquet with a subtle interplay of barrel-ferment characters, melon and stone fruit; the elegant palate has pure and seamless stone fruit and oak, and beguiling finish and length.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow-green; a clean bouquet with a subtle interplay of cashew, melon and oak; a similarly stylish palate, light melon and cashew providing good mouthfeel.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; a rich and complex bouquet exhibits ripe fig and melon fruit married with positive, well-handled oak. That oak is a fraction assertive on the palate, but overall, a wine of real character, grip and length.
