Larry Cherubino 'Channybearup Vineyard' Chardonnay

Cracka Review

The Winemaking: Fruit was hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed directly to new and 1 year old oak. No So2, acid or yeast additions were made.

The Wine: Pale straw in colour with a punchy vibrant nose of grapefruit and citrus. Minimal oak influence has resulted in a zippy, racy modern Chardonnay. The wine is medium bodied, definitely food friendly with stoney notes and a clean lingering mouth-feel. The finish is long and persistent.

Drink with: BBQ seafood with a squeeze of lemon.

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
Takes the Yard into another zone of complexity and power. Such a beautifully perfectly integrated and precise Australian chardonnay. Has that mineral and grapefruit character with touches of light roasted almond and stone fruit. All added with admirable restraint. Super stuff.
