Rob Geddes MW (2012 Vintage) says
Solidly built with stone fruit and tobacco, In the mouth richness of fruit, with substantial texture and length of pear tartin like flavour with harmonious oak balance with middle palate depth and sustained flavours. Good use of lees and oak with balance.

Slightly candied and viscous, this oaky young chardonnay has a spicy, citrusy bouquet of melon, peach and fresh vanilla influences. Its palate begins with fresh lemon drop-like flavours and extends with a fine length of fruit and chalkiness towards a slightly caramelised finish of pleasing depth, viscosity and integration.

Such a beautifully delicate chardonnay yet still so immensely powerful. This is class chardonnay based on great fruit and sympathetic winemaking to capture every last essence of the variety. It's precise and already complex with layers of flavour. The palate holds its line with distinctive minerality to a very long finish.

Aroma is impressive with pear subtle yet rich oak and creamy elements. In the mouth lovely oak lees integration turns into an excellent middle palate with a detailed finish of fine fruit oak creamy texture and detailed acidity that runs tangy and tingly yellow stonefruit and a little lees. Elegance with texture.

Bright colour; an engaging combination of grapefruit, sandalwood, bacon bones and ginger are all evident on the bouquet; the palate is lacy and fine, and while oak is present the fruit handles it with ease; surprisingly powerful and precise at just 12.3% alcohol.

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
The flagship chardonnay from Cherubino is a real statement of beautifully executed Margaret River style, showing brash and concentrated stone fruits with hits of nougat and oak spice; really composed. The palate s a very complete and composed offering, with crisp citrus and white peach flavour and gently creamy, custard-like complexity. The acid cleans up neatly.

A complex yet restrained bouquet of grilled cashews, grapefruit and toasty oak; the palate is quite tightly wound, showing white nectarine and grapefruit, combined with lively acidity and a touch of grip; unevolved, but with a bright future.
