Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
Takes shiraz to a new zone. There is a sense of place in this wonderful expression of Frankland shiraz. Savoury and slightly spicy notes with the rush of dark fruit overwhelming. Chocolate, mulberry and savoury earthy plum with a fine gravely character. The seamless palate conceals the great depth and concentration of the fruit. A stunning statement of the variety.

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
There's a big play happening in here. This is from Frankland River and the concentrated opulent and densely flavoursome fruit is clearly evident. It's been picked fully ripe but delivers with such effortless grace and charm. This is another great shiraz. The lift of aromatics shows some stone fruit influence but the savoury richness is the thing

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Smoky oak, violets, roasted meat, blackberry and Asian all-spice blend to form a beguiling bouquet; the palate is multi-layered and amazingly silky with black fruits swamping the considerable oak with ease; incredibly complex, lacy and engaging from start to finish.

Bright colour; highly fragrant with dark chocolate, raspberry and a touch of spice on display; the oak comes through on the palate, with juicy black fruits and ample gravelly tannins on the finish. Great Southern.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
Winemaker Larry Cherubino is a master of Great Southern shiraz. Wine is just wine - it's not a person - but some seem to exude an air of calm confidence. If that's possible, then this wine does it. It's tight with tannin and grunty with flavour, and it makes complexity look easy. It's a perfumed, spicy, red-fruited shiraz with highlights of black olive and chocolate (from oak). Length of flavour is not a problem. An exemplary wine.
