Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
Lazy Ballerina had a few dramas with this wine (as the wine was about to be bottled) but what was salvaged is highly credible. It's a hearty, smooth red with a good kick of tannin. There's quite a bit of creamy oak and a foundation of blackberried, plummy flavour - a simple but (deservedly) successful formula. It's good buying and good drinking.

Campbell Mattinson (2006 Vintage) says
This has been one of the real finds of recent years. Young bloke James Hook makes the wines out of the Redheads studio in McLaren Vale, a hotpot for interesting young wine folks. 2006 RELEASE What a beauty. This is a super wine, at a super price. It tastes like a big mouthful of chocolate and blackberry and smoky oak, but before the words 'fruit bomb' jump to mind it's also blessed with a lovely run of sophisticated tannin. Fantastic, DRINK 2008-2018.
