Ever tried to name a wine? There are around 2,000 wineries in Australia, many with several different 'tiers' of wines, and legally they aren't allowed to clash with overseas labels. So it's quite a challenge, and I guess it was inevitable that 'synergy' would get a roll some time. The wine's a blend of material from Coonawarra and McLaren Vale, two regions not overly famous for chardy. But the sum of the parts, as they say...

Quite elegant, but has plenty of melon fruit flavour and subtle oak. Coonawarra/McLaren Vale blend.

This is as fruity as Hugh Jackman playing the Boy from Oz, especially the bit where he does the Rio song. God I loved Peter Allen, loved the Tenterfield Saddler... Bi-Coastal...the Qantas ad. For whatever reason, this bottle full of fruity sunshine has made me dream of a happier time when Pete and Liza were still married (?!) and being Bi-Coastal was still hip. Before it became square again.
