Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
A stunning and very complete cabernet from the first sniff to the last slurp and smack of the lips. This is class cabernet. Essencey black currant and black olive with a little oyster shell minerality in there on the nose. The palate has a tight core of tannin and oak that works through the immensely powerful and concentrated fruit. Nice grainy tannin and a very long finish.

For those unacquainted with the finer points of the west, Wilyabrup is at the heart of Margaret River's great region and this wine strikes close to the core of all that's great about Margaret River cabernet. Plenty or richness here, dark chocolate and ripe purple berry fruits along with background roasting herbs. Tannins are arranged in superb formation and the oak is dealt in with confident modern style. Handsome wine!
