Les Jamelles Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

There’s no need to tell you just how well a glass of Champagne goes down after a hard day at the office, and we are surrounded by the stuff, yet we never tire of the allure of a chilled bottle of bubbly. This is Sparkling from France, not from Champagne but it’s made with the two standard grapes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It possesses floral and citrus aromas before an elegant palate of stone fruit, some brioche flavours, with a creamy mouthfeel and refreshing acid flavours.

Winemaker's Notes

Light and very fresh with aromas of lemony citrus, white petals and musk. The palate is equally elegant and pure with stone fruit and citrus flavours evolving towards brioche and a soft, creamy mouth-feel. A fine line of mineral acidity adds length before a dry finish.

Tyson Stelzer says
Based on chardonnay from the warmer climate of Limoux France's south, this clean, fresh, soft, fruit-driven style uses clean winemaking and low dosage to keep rounded pear and apply fruit vibrant.
