Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2006 Vintage) says
Ray Nadeson's estate bottling is deep and perfumed: ripe dark cherry fruits, impressive concentration and richness, while the oak forms a savoury backdrop. The palate builds weight in layers across fine tannins and hearty fruit presence, finishing upbeat and fragrant.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Bright red-purple; the intense bouquet centres on dark plum fruit with well-handled oak in support; the very powerful and very concentrated palate borders on being over-extractive, but will reward patience, and is pointed accordingly.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Strong red-purple; a clean and sweet bouquet with dark plum, hints of spice and forest, and subtle oak. The plummy fruit comes through on the palate, which has excellent balance and structure, but is still firm and needs a year or two to soften and show its best, which will be very good indeed.
