Tyson Stelzer (2010 Vintage) says
Exceedingly classy and generous, the old vines in this privileged patch have risen to the supple approachability of the season, while keeping absolute control, upholding medium-term ageing potential.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright crimson-purple; sourced from the single vineyard whose name it bears, the wine spent 18 months in a mix of new and used French oak barriques; it has excellent structure to the medium-bodied palate, and the balance between redcurrant and more savoury/olive fruit is strengthened by the oak.

Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
The finest St George since 1991 is very elegant, measured and complete, with a sweet, heady perfume of violets, cassis, dark cherries and fresh cedar/vanilla oak backed by a dusty hint of dried herbs. Underpinned by pliant, fine-grained tannins, it delivers a sumptuous length of pure regional cabernet fruit, polished and finely integrated oak and a vibrtant lingering finish of bright acidity.

Varietal black olive savoury with blackcurrant regional medium bodied with velvety soft tannins and a lovely evenness of flavour.

Strong purple-crimson; from the 35-year-old vines on the 12-ha estate-owned St George Vineyard. Has the blackcurrant/cassis, mint and mulberry cabernet profile of Coonawarra, augmented by 17 months in new and used French oak that makes its mark on the wine; it is the texture of the tannins (and the fruit) that carries the wine through to an altogether superior finish.

He’s no saint but King George has certainly arrived in a cavalcade of royal splendour! Set for a very long reign indeed, a looming wall of firm, fine tannins will take a trebuchet to penetrate, revealing a kingdom of deep blackcurrant fruit, coffee and tobacco.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Convincing purple-red; a complex bouquet immediately proclaims terroir and variety; has that particular earthy edge to the fruit which is not always evident in a young wine, but adds to the package of blackcurrant fruit and excellent savoury tannins. Joins Limestone Ridge as a great success.
