Longridge Hawke's Bay Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage is full-coloured, vibrantly fruity, berryish, plummy and smooth, with hints of spices and datk chocolate, and gentle tannins. It's a flavoursome, easy-drinking red.

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
The 2007 vintage from Pernod Ricard NZ is deeply coloured, with blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing very good depth, some savoury complexity, and a well-rounded finish.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
The 1998 vintage is the best Longridge red yet from Corbans. Fresh, youthful and supple, it offers very good depth of cassis/plum flavours in a moderately complex style with a touch of sweet oak and smooth finish. A blend of 50 per cent Merlot, 43 per cent Cabernet Sauvignon and 7 per cent Cabernet Franc, oak-aged for eight months, it should be at its best during 2000-01. The 1999 vintage is a Cabernet Sauvignon-predominant blend (see that section).
