Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
Part of the Allied Domecq (NZ) portfolio, this wine showcases fresh, ripe-fruit characters, with a delicate oak underlay. The 2003 vintage 90 per cent fermented in French and American oak casks (the rest was handled in tanks), is a blend of Gisborne (80 per cent) and Hawke's Bay grapes. Fresh, citrusy and slightly biscuity, it's an easy-drinking wine with a sweet oak influence and a smooth finish.
