Under Corbans' direction, this traditionally Hawke's Bay wine was a lightly oaked style, typically full-bodied, with fresh, limey, tangy flavours. Now, as an Allied Domecq brand, the wood influence has been dropped, The 2003 vintage a blend of Chilean (54 per cent) and Hawke's Bay wine, is full-bodied, with good depth of tropical-fruit flavours and a touch of lees-aging complexity. The 2004 is full-bodied and freshly herbaceous, with melon/lime flavours showing good depth and a smooth, dry finish.
