One of the last few family owned ‘big’ Champagne houses (and one of the very few
that use mostly their own grapes), Roederer produce a NV Champagne that carries more reserve wine and bottle age than most other NV’s without a hefty premium.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Pale golden yellow in colour with a delicate persistent bead.

Nose: Rich yet subtle bouquet of hawthorn, almonds and toast.

Palate: The inclusion of reserve wines gives wonderful complexity and roundness to the fresh creamy palate. Champagne Louis Roederer Brut Premier strikes a perfect balance between the structure and fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay.

Roederer's NV is in stunning form at the minute - they've stepped up a notch in freshness and intensity. Trademark finesse meets richness interplay, the storage of reserve wines in larger oak vats adds the right amount of complexity and savoury, spicy notes to assertive pinot fruit. The palate has a silky, crisp texture, really charming apple flavour and a lingering, precise finish.
