Madfish may sound like aquatic life in a mental home but it’s actually the name given to a bunch of very smart wines from the Great Southern. And great it is too, showing why WA wines are such a good option when you are entertaining. This is Shiraz that is comforting and reliable, with its core of approachable fruit, peppery spice and hints of oak. Full on the palate with lots of intense flavours of black fruits, cherry and a savoury texture complemented by soft tannins.
Rich, ruby colour with spicy black pepper, dark chocolate, ripe cherry, plums and violet like aromas. Elegant well integrated Shiraz with a long fleshy finish.

Very aromatic; bright, cool-grown varietal red fruits, spice and fine tannins; good structure, weight and depth.Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005

Deep, bright red-purple; smooth and ripe cherry and raspberry fruit with spicy/peppery undertones leads into a palate with excellent balance and texture; the French oak is controlled throughout, adding to the wine without taking away from the varietal fruit.Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
