James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Good colour; stacked with flavour contributed more or less equally by fruit, oak and tannins, so much so you have to wonder whether the over-delivery against its price (with discounting down to $20) isn't over the top. A quaint proposition, I realise.

Effortlessly medium-bodied and quite the contrast to the impact of Heartland, the strength of the Margaret River 2009 season is on full parade here. Lifted cracked pepper and violets burst from the glass, introducing black plum fruit, finely textured tannins and excellent poise. Great MR value. www.madfishwines.com.au

Bright crimson-red; a succulent medium-bodied shiraz from Margaret River, even though the front label does not disclose this; there is a cascade of red cherry, plum and spicy fruit, the tannins and oak playing a support role.

A punchy and vibrant shiraz from the heart of Margaret River in this new range from MadFish. It's loaded with dark savoury spicy shiraz liberallycoated with cedary oak. Well balanced with ripe supple tannins and a deliciously appealing finish.

Generous wine with great colour. Aniseed and licorice on the nose and lolly fruit flavours.

The Mad Fish range is expanding - now with a 'Sideways' range. All the grapes were grown in the Margaret River region. Juicy little number. Very tasty too. Think plums and blueberries, light, cedary oak and velvety texture. It has refreshing acidity and an attractive, medium weight. Made to be consumed young, and made immaculately well. Nice stuff.
