Mahi Byrne Vineyard Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Mahi is the personal label of Brian Bicknell, winemaker at Seresin Estate. The fragrant and richly coloured 2002 vintage was grown in a single vineyard at Conders Bend, near Renwick, in Marlborough. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, it was French oak-aged for 15 months and bottled unfiltered. It possesses lovely richness, structure and harmony, with concentrated plum, cherry and spice flavours, savoury characters adding complexity and firm, ripe tannins. One of the regions most multi-faceted reds, it can be cellared with confidence
