The 2008 vintage was made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, but it's not intended to be an intensely 'varietal' wine. Grown at Renwick, it was fermented with indigenous yeasts, initially in tanks, then transferred into seasoned French oak barrels, where it completed its fermentation and matured for 10 months. Fleshy and generous, it is sweet-fruited and finely textured, with very ripe fig, spice and subtle oak flavours, showing excellent complexity, and a dry, rounded finish.
