Mahi Twin Valleys Vineyard Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2004 Vintage) says
Mahi is the personal label of Seresin Estate winemaker, Brian Bicknell. Complex and richly flavoured, the 2004 vintage was grown in Peter and Anne Reed's Twin Valleys Vineyard in the Fareham Lane area, where the Waihopai Valley meets the Wairau Valley, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques. Light yellow, it is weighty, rich and citrusy, with strong grapefruit-like flavours, mealy, limey, buttery and minerally, with fresh acidity and a tight finish. It's still youthful; drink mid 2006+.
