A bargain, the 2001 vintage was fermented in stainless steel tanks and lees-aged for nine months, to add 'complexity and mouthfeel'. Made by Pegasus Bay, it is ripely scented and full-bodied, with strong gooseberry/lime flavours, a touch of complexity and crisp acidity enlivening the finish, which is rich and long.
