James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
A robust estate-grown blend of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot, the old vines in question planted in 1976 and '78; the wine spent 12 months in new French oak barriques, and the ripe blackcurrant fruit, the oak, and the powerful tannins all point to a wine with a long future.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
From estate-grown vines planted in 1976 and '78; has retained good hue; well made, with the range of dark berry fruits, 12 months' maturation in new French oak and ripe tannins all balanced and integrated. Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz/Merlot.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Hazy colour; distinctly in the earthy/leafy/briary spectrum, but there are notes of sweet berry fruit to be found. Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz/Merlot.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Consistendy with the other wines, more weight and richness than the '04, but also more tannin structure, bordering on toughness. Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz/Merlot.
