Seriously though, this is more than just flashy packaged French fizz. A ‘tete de cuvee’ (the best wine of the house), this high quality sparkling is a classical Loire Cremant.

Handpicked, bottle-fermented and matured for at least 12 months, this blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc is stylistically Champagne-esque, if a little juicier than those from further north.

In all honesty, we’d rather drink this over many $70 big name Champagne; such is the delicacy and length. That’s what happens with top Cremant though, which doesn’t have the same cache as Champagne but can be just as high quality.

Winemaker's Notes

This sparkling wine is the result of the knowhow and the rigorous work of the Marcel Martin winemaking team. They shape well balanced, fine wines that deliver consistent quality with each vintage.

Winemaking: The harvest takes place from the end of September through to mid-October. Second fermentation in the bottle with ageing on the lees for at least 18 months.

Tasting notes: Pale yellow with green highlights and a line of fine bubbles. Balanced wine with complex aromas of white flowers and dried fruit complemented with an ample, long finish.

Food pairing: To be enjoyed with white fish, a green salad, or on its own as an aperitif.

Alc/vol: 12.0%
