Rob Geddes MW (2011 Vintage) says
Varies with the years from peach syrup to a lighter framed wine with citrus marmalade meeting tropical fruit with cleansing acidity to keep it tidy.

Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
This very sweet but artfully balanced dessert wine has a fragrance of lemon blossom, apricot and orange rind with undertones of peach and melon, burned butter and caramel. Its luscious, juicy palate extends long and fresh, with an unctuous but focused and faintly chalky presence of lemon, peach and apricot flavour finishing with racy acids and a lingering note of lemon meringue.

Glowing gold; I don't know where the botrytis came in '09, but it's here in spades in this very complex wine, with cumquat, mandarin and honey/honeycomb fruit in abundance; good balancing acidity.

Jeremy Oliver (2008 Vintage) says
A sweet, forward and earlier-developing wine whose luscious, rather viscous presence of nectarines, peach, orange rind and melon-like fruit has a complex support cast of waxy, nutty, ginger and clove-like undertones. It's very floral and spicy but lacks great length on the palate, finishing quite thick and oily with soft, lemony acids and a hint of marmalade.

Getting complex fast, a lighter framed wine; the citrus marmalade meeting tropical fruit with cleansing acidity to keep it tidy.

As ever, extremely sweet and unctuously rich; lemon preserve fruit flavours, with citrussy acidity offsetting the sweetness; half a tonne to the acre.

Very rich cumquat and marmalade flavours; a touch more acidity might have made a great wine

Glowing yellow-green; rich, complex, fruit-driven cumquat, mandarin, yellow peach and lemon; very good acidity. Margan has the style down pat.

Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
Quite a charmer, this fragrant and harmonious young dessert wine has a floral and slightly honeyed perfume of grapefruit, melon and citrus aromas with undertones of butter and traminer-like muskiness. Long and fine, It's intensely flavoured but remains clean and refreshing. Its moderate sweetness is ably balanced by clean and refreshing acids, and the wine never becomes cloying.

Glowing green-gold; complex and luscious, the oak balanced and integrated with cumquat, peach, mandarin and almond.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
A fragrance of fresh apricots, lemon tart, brioche and honeysuckle precedes a forward, smooth and approachable palate whose pleasing length of juicy citrus and stonefruit flavours finishes soft and refreshing, without excessive sweetness. Attractive balance and brightness.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
A fine, elegant, harmonious and moderately sweet dessert wine that you can really drink. Its lightly tropical, floral and honeydew melon aromas are lifted by delicate vanilla oak, while its vibrant and refreshing palate has a controlled measure of lusciousness that prevents it from cloying.

Medium to full yellow-green; a complex bouquet offering mandarin, peach and a hint of nougat leads into a palate with excellent balance and length, particularly the acidity.

Orange-gold; a complex and fragrant bouquet of cumquat and honeycomb is followed by a long, intense and complex palate. Gold medal 2001 Hunter Valley Wine Show.
