Margan Shiraz Saignee Rose

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Saignee means that the wine has been made with juice 'bled' from a batch of table wine - in this case shiraz. It's a sweet, spicy style that also shows raspberry and strawberry smells and flavours. The palate is light and slightly sweet, with friendly acidity, and a drier finish than anticipated. Great with Asian cuisines.

Winemaker's Notes

This 2013 Rose has a brilliant ruby red colour that sparkles in the glass. The nose shows fresh strawberries and candyfloss with hints of spice. The classic Hunter Valley Shiraz earthiness character follows on the palate with candied red fruits. The wine has a lingering soft dry finish and is made to be enjoyed while young.
