WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Northland red showing excellent depth and complexity. Savoury and supple, with fruit cake, spice and chocolate notes, seasoned with sweet oak. Drinking well now.
WINESTATE Volume 34 (2011) 2011
Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage grown at Kerikeri, in Northland, was matured for 15 months in oak casks. Vibrantly fruity, with full, bright colour, it's a sweet-fruited wine with ripe plum/ pepper flavours, now developing a savoury, spicy complexity.

Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
The 2006 vintage was grown at Kerikeri, in Northland, and matured for 15 months in French and American oak casks. Dark and generous, it's gutsy and spicy, with cassis and black-pepper flavours, fairly firm tannins and a spicy finish.

Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
Oak-aged for 15 months, the 2001 vintage of this Northland red is fullish in colour, with berryish, slightly spicy flavours and a sweet wood influence. However, it lacks real ripeness and richness
