As viognier goes, this is a stylish, slimline model that offers real depth and purity, minus the flab. The aromas range from pear to white peach and orange blossom, while, in the mouth, this example shows terrific intensity and restraint. Enjoy The Surly Muse with a bowl of roast pumpkin soup.

The Surly Muse - doesn't exactly have you painting rainbows in the sky, but viognier can be a hard grape to manage and tests a winemaker's resolve, hence the name. Nice ripeness here, stone fruits and creamy, spicy nuances. Very smooth texture and lingering apricot kernel through the finish.
