WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Fresh, clean wine with plenty of ´zip and offering good cellaring potential. Chocolaty aromas and intense persistence of flavours. 3-5

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Although grown in the silliest (coolest) soils in the company's vineyard in Gimblett Road, Hawke's Bay, and matured in French oak casks (50 per cent new), the 2002 vintage is disappointing, with light, green-edged flavours that lack ripeness and depth.

Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
For drinking now or cellaring, the 2001 vintage was grown in the siltiest (coolest) soils in the company's vineyard in Gimblett Road, Hawke's Bay, and matured in French oak casks. Showing good varietal character, it is fresh, vibrant and supple, with cherry and spice aromas and flavours and a firm, distinctly spicy finish.
