Matua Valley Innovator Northbank Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
The full-of-personality, slightly funky 2006 vintage is correctly promoted as an 'alternative example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc'. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and lees-aged for six months in old French oak barriques, it is weighty and fleshy, with ripe tropical-fruit flavours showing very good depth, complexity and texture, and a smooth (4.8 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. It's not at all a 'competition' wine, but an excellent wine for drinking.
