Matua Valley White Hill

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1995 Vintage) says
White Hill (named after a Kumeu landmark) has replaced Matua Valley's long-popular Chablis as an enjoyable, dryish quaffer. Blended from Chenin Blanc (77 per cent), Riesling (15 per cent) and Chardonnay (8 per cent), the 1995 vintage is a medium-bodied wine with Chenin Blanc's fruity, citrus/melon flavours to the fore and a touch of sweetness to give an easy-drinking character. It's still fresh and lively, and maturing well.
