Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Polished, measured and finely balanced, this floral and juicy shiraz has a spicy, heady bouquet of violets, white pepper, cassis and raspberries backed by hints of briar, mint and blackberries. Long and smooth, with a bright, sweetly fruited palate underpinned by fine-grained velvety tannins and sporting fresh chocolate/vanilla oak, it finishes quite savoury, with lingering nuances of charcuterie meats. Terrific value!

Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
Stylish, fresh and focused, with a spicy bouquet of violets, cassis, dark chocolates and black pepper backed by suggestions of charcuterie meats and perhaps a whiff of viognier. Long and supple, with a fine, plant undercarriage, it's deliciously intense and vibrant, extending down the palate towards a smooth finish where there's just a hint of baked, currant-like character.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Deep crimson; ripe blackberry and plum fruit on the bouquet, the medium- to full-bodied palate showing very good restraint; the finish is full of character; likely picked before the heatwave.

Not an easy vintage, but this blend of three estate vineyards (one in the Eden Valley) shows that high alcohol was not the answer; an attractive array of juicy plum and blackberry fruit, with fine tannins.

Huge, warm, porty, chocolaty wine with an alcoholic lift to the nose and a generous and well-balanced palate filled with complex flavours.
