Maximus Premium Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Juicy and fleshy is the theme with this full-bodied, gladiator wine. Aromas of ripe raspberries, pepper spice and hints of toastiness tempt the senses, whilst the palate is plush and lush with deep, plummy flavours, fine tannins, and a juicy, spiced finish. It's worthy of the colosseum, and would battle well with a rich meat dish.

Winemaker's Notes

The blend is 50% Grenache, 35% Shiraz and 15% Mouvedre. The perfumed characters of Grenache impart a lifted fresh berry scent with the underlying richness of Shiraz characters providing a complex bouquet. The palate is soft and rounded, filling the mouth with a soft lusciousness. The Shiraz makes the wine whole and full while the Mouvedre helps complete the sensation by adding depth to the back palate.

Confectionery stone-fruit aromas; some development. Much the same on the hot, syrupy palate.
