Maynard James Keenan Arizona Double Pack

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan hits you with a double-up of his Arizona Stronghold Magnus, and the Arizona Stronghold Dala cab sav. The two are quite richly fruited wines without being baffling, but the Magnus has a bit of added interest being a sangiovese blend. Both wines go down smoothly with good drinkability over the next couple of years. Try with some juicy burgers!

Winemaker's Notes

Mangus is our Tuscan style blend. When a few rouge winemakers in the Tuscan region of Italy decided to grow and blend non-traditional grape varietals into their Sangiovese based wines, the world was introduced to the first “Super Tuscan.” With an ongoing fascination of these types of wines, Mangus was born. Mangus is our Super Tuscan style wine, blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (both Bordeaux grapes) with our Sangiovese. Rustic and fruit forward is the style of this great wine.

The word Dala in Apache language means, “ONE.” When you see the word Dala on one of our bottles of wine, you can always assume that the grapes we used to make that wine are of ONE varietal only.
