Michael Cooper (2012 Vintage) says
Complex style, hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts in "small and large format French oak". Bright, light lemon/green, with a fragrant bouquet and fresh, peachy, toasty, biscuity flavours, showing food concentration. Rich, rounded and already drinking well.
September/October 2013
James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; there is abundant ripe fig and peach fruit with quite obvious barrel-fermentation characters in a solid bouquet. There is a hint of spice, possibly from the American oak, on top of rich, ripe peach and fig fruit on the palate; the malolactic influence is nicely muted.
