James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
This has the lightest colour of the three; the soils here, just inland from the cost, are sandy and schisty and well weathered; it is intense and elegant, with white stone fruit and grapefruit at its core.

Mid gold; a highly expressive and complex wine with grapefruit, grilled cashews and candle wax on display; the palate is medium-weighted with zesty acidity providing a long and even ride from start to finish; fine grilled nut flavours linger tantalisingly.

Light straw-green; a restrained exercise in the winery results in a wine with great elegance and breeding, white peach, melon and cashew in a seamless flow across the palate and through to the finish; this is a fruit, not oak, driven wine.

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
A silky fine chardonnay displaying precise and tightly controlled fruit expression through a very long palate profile. Minerally and palate has a very fine acid with traces of savoury lightly nutty cashew flavours. It is a very modern style of chardonnay and shows the future direction of Margaret River perfectly. Super wine.

Tyson Stelzer (2010 Vintage) says
Clearly the sibling of nearby Rocky Road Vineyard, yet expressing a unique personality of greater approachability, power and concentration. Ripe peach and honeydew fruit is supported by soft, fine, grapefruit-like acidity.

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
The 2010 Calgardup Brook is a complex and creamy wine showing all the trimmings of winemaking amply carried on sturdy, concentrated chardonnay fruits. Smells of ripe stone fruits, grilled nuts and nougat; some honey too. The palate's smooth at the eges, with a core of dense, powerful and structured presence; flavours follow aromas in the stone-fruit and nougat trail, finishing with handy grip.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Bright straw-green; the faintly funky bouquet is complex, an appropriate introduction for a palate with layers of flavour of white peach and fig/cashew ex partial mlf, before glorious grapefruit acidity takes over and drives the wine through to its lingering, pure finish.

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Takes the fine delicacy of this vineyard to another level. This is a beautifully precise and pristine Chardonnay displaying control, intensity and lingering power in one fell swoop. A piercing acidity sustains the palate while the oak And the oak and fruit balance has been struck just right for this variety

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
This is taut to start with: restrained fig and lightly herbal regional notes of lemongrass, some intense mineral smells, and flinty and finely-spiced oak in the background. The palate's mapped out with fine acidity and has plenty of crisp, crunchy lemon citrus flavour, long and scintillating, building nutty complexity through the back. Tight-wound - will be a joy in three to five years.
The Good Wine Guide 2011
Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
Shows impressive fruit purity on the nose with striking fresh yellow peach and peach blossom, hints of citrus and plenty of fig. The palate is rounder and richer than its Rocky Road counterpart, quite savoury for the most part, finishing with gentle spiced nutty flavours.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; an extremely bright, fresh and lively wine, the fruit and oak seamlessly interwoven on the long and focused palate; is almost painfully youthful, but the future is undoubted.

Nick Stock (2007 Vintage) says
Sourced from the south of the region, this shows restrained and reserved style, some flinty stone fruits and melon-rind aromas, the oak sits up a little at this stage - give it time to settle. The palate is compact and taut, has some nutty bite, crisp melon and peach flavour, the acidity is a feature. Refreshing finish, the fruit takes centre stage.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
A notably elegant and fine wine notwithstanding the level of French oak; gains velocity and thrust as it moves to the back-palate and finish; has good texture and structure.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
An intense, fruit-driven melon, stone fruit and grapefruit mix; crisp, crunchy acidity; long finish.

Light straw-green; a particularly restrained and elegant wine in the context of Margaret River; melon, apple and nectarine with touches of cashew and cream; controlled barrel ferment inputs.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Complex wild yeast barrel ferment characters; a creamy opening to the palate, then fruit takes over and drives through to a long finish.
